Communicating with Clarity in the Age of AI

As AI reshapes how we draft, send, and receive information, clear communication matters more than ever and not less. This session helps government finance and accounting professionals cut through AI-generated noise, distinguish AI-assisted from AI-dependent communication, and build the human judgment that we need these days to keep messages clear, trusted, and effective.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify how communication breakdowns function as an organizational risk and where AI-generated content introduces new failure points.
  • Distinguish between AI-assisted communication and AI-dependent communication, and recognize when human judgment, tone, and context are non-negotiable.
  • Apply practical techniques for communicating complex or technical information and where AI can support this communication process
  • Build habits and practices that position clear, human-led communication as a competitive and professional advantage as AI becomes more prevalent in the workplace
